We went there for our wedding night. The hotel went above beyong to facilitate my requests of making the night extra special by setting out the room for our arrival as husband and wife. Stunning views over looking the river, everything was perfect.

This was a wonderful pairing with our wine tour of Aveleda winery. The staff were amazing, the gentlemen at the reception was welcoming and also recommended a local place to eat called Suzanna ; a true traditional experience. Everything is sparkling new ; the eminities, the bathrobes the bedding, absolute delight. The grounds are manicured, the pool which is pearched on the land is an absolutel delight and well worth the price. The breakfast was delicious and just exceeded expectations. We are so grateful of the discovery and certainly recommend the wonderful, historical location, that of a family gem restored and so welcoming.

Excellent modern accommodation. Very clean, wonderful balcony views, great chance for relaxation at the pool. Breakfast excellent, home made pastries were a personal favourite. Owners on site, always wanting to help with drinks and recommendations. Restaurant and facilities 5-7 minutes away by car, beach a bit closer.

    For anybody wanting to visit the area the hotel is well...

    For anybody wanting to visit the area the hotel is well situated and not that far from Porto with any easy route. The river Douro is a stone's throw away and one can travel along the route of the river by road or can take a train which is great fun
