    The beaches are amazing.

    The beaches are amazing. The promenade and surrounding area was very clean. Plenty of bars and restaurants - a bit quiet in the evenings but that was fine for us as we were hoping for a quiet break. Vilamoura within walking distance so had one evening out there when we fancied something a bit more lively. Plenty of supermarkets nearby and we discovered that the little train stops at Lidl every Wednesday. Loved the Quarteira swing at the end of the promenade with the fabulous view of the sea. Bus station within walking distance and quite easy to utilise. Managed a day trip to Albufeira where we were also able to board a catamaran for a trip to the Benagil caves

    Everything is relatively easy to access. Easy to get around.

    Everything is relatively easy to access. Easy to get around. Felt safe, no problems on the streets with pushy people selling goods. The locals are generally nice and friendly. The waves could be a little rough for small children. The sand is quite coarse in places, moving under foot when getting in and out of the water. This could be difficult for the very young or very older swimmers.

    Excellent accommodation,extremely clean .

    Excellent accommodation,extremely clean . Large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything you need & more . Very close to the beach & marina. Minutes away from the local restaurants. Looking forward to returning again .Highly recommended !

    Quarteira is a fantastic spot—just far enough from the busiest areas to feel relaxed, but close enough to jump into the action whenever you want. The beach is beautiful, and you’re only a short stroll from other stunning stretches of sand. Around town you’ll find plenty of shops and eateries, plus a fresh fruit and vegetable market and a lively fish market. The wide promenade is perfect for walkers and joggers, and dotted with outdoor gyms and a small children’s park opposite the police station. We tried several beachfront restaurants—our favourite was Pizzeria e Gelataria Roma. It’s not the fanciest place, but the food was delicious and the service excellent. Truth be told, every restaurant we visited served great food. If you fancy exploring, a 30-minute walk takes you to Vilamoura’s marina, where you’ll find more restaurants and shops—though prices there can be double what you’d pay in Quarteira boutique shops. An Uber will only cost around 3-4 euros to get from Quarteira to the harbour. The whole region has a laid-back, beachy vibe, making it ideal for a chilled-out getaway. Plus, you’re never far from attractions like the water park, golf courses, boat tours, and other sights.

    Lovely big beach very clean.

    Lovely big beach very clean. Walkway was length of beach & again great plenty room to move. Restaurante A GAIVOTA, a must fantastic food staff very attentive& friendly. a must. The sea bass my husband had 3 times. Fresh tuna steak lovely. Will return next year. Other good restaurants all the way along really. Easy to get around.

    We are used 2 already having Tea facilities in the room that...

    We are used 2 already having Tea facilities in the room that wasn’t the case however once we spoke 2 Reception we got a Kettle Overall this Hotel is between both Quarteira & Villamoura near the Casino

    The apartment is right on the beach in Quarteira. It was spotlessly clean. There’s air conditioning and English tv channels (although we are Irish😂). We got confused about how to get into the apartment when we first arrived but the host had given us her contact number and answered our call straight away and we got sorted. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for your help Christiana!

    We liked the location of the Dom Jose Beach Hotel. It is on the beach and our room overlooked the beach. There were many restaurants nearby and you can walk to Villamaura in about 20 minutes. The hotel has an impressive lounge/bar area serving drinks and snacks. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely come here again.

    Rooftop with huge balcony and spa bath. A wee relaxing treat on our around Portugal stay.the views were stunning, great value and a special thank you to the housekeeper and team due to the room being cleaned then outdoors beeping messed up my seagulls. Happy to reclean without us asking . Friendly but professional.

    Location, bar, breakfast and parking. Hotel has two lifts, comfortable bar for a nightcap or afternoon drink and fast food though you wouldn't class it as a restaurant. Nice swimming pool area outside though we didn't try it on this visit. 5 minute walk to Vilamoura and same to beach if you're fit and no hills.
