I definitely recommend staying at Quinta Soutelinho. Our stay here was a great experience. We arrived quite late and the owner was waiting for us. We were received royally, we were served refreshments and wine produced by the host, which we drank on the terrace admiring the terraced vineyards of the Douro Valley. The house is beautiful, equipped with old furniture that only adds to its taste. The owners are wonderful people. During the conversations, we learned a lot about wine production. The owner took us to a demonstration of his own wine production, which was an attraction in itself. During your stay, I highly recommend purchasing wine produced by the owners, which is delicious and, I guess, cheaper than wine of similar quality in the store. I would like to write this while still staying at Quinta Soutelinho :)

It is more then apartment, it is an experience. 250 y old stone village in the middle of the valley, with hundred year old school and old public laundry place. It feels like time is stoppped in that amazing place. Was nice to explore all around. It is only few minutes from Pinhao by car. The house was very clean, newly equipped, everything was in working condition. It was absolutely the best our stay during our trip to Portugal!

Rosa & family were at the property when we arrived. Showed us around and nothing was too much trouble, even taking us to the nearest still open supermarket for us to get some food (we arrived Sunday evening). What can I say that hasn't been said before? WOW!! The pool was clean, the property was clean, the view from the balcony was sublime. The wine - delicious, make sure to try some! 1 double room, 1 twin room was just perfect for us. Everywhere we wanted to go was approx 1/2 hour drive away. Just want to say thank you again 🙏 ❤️

We loved this accommodation. Elizabeth was so helpful, the Pastie de Natas that she left us when we arrived was a lovely touch, also the small bottle of Port from her father and the rice cakes just before we left. These little touches always make you feel special. The pool was lovely to use at the end of a long drive and the scenery from all aspects of the accommodation were incredible, felt very at home there. Would love to return in the future.

The family is super accommodating. One night we wanted to do a picnic. The son helped us find an amazing viewpoint and the mom helped us with plastic cutlery and picnic gear. Super lovely stay, really another world.

Everything was absolutely fabulous. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The linen and towels were excellent. The location is great, being a short walk from the station. Best of all was the warm welcome and incredibly friendly service. The breakfasts are amazingly good and our hosts simply couldn't do enough for us. Thank you very much. Andrew and Karen, UK

    The staff were very helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very much at home. We ate dinner on the premises on Sunday evening, which was very good. The vinery is in the village of Sabrosa, and it was pleasant going for a walk either in the village or around the neighbouring vineyards. There were also a couple of other restaurants nearby.

    Beautiful setting and views from the pool. Property also was old and beautiful Allowed us to bring our bikes inside and store them. Nice breakfast, with quality ingredients although lacking front of house presence. Nice coffee and biscuits always available Tour provided to hotel guests was brief. Staff were friendly when seen/communicative.

    Wonderful peaceful location. Beautifully positioned in the vineyard. Very comfortable hotel. Lovely breakfast and a great honesty bar with numerous wines and beers and soft drinks. Restaurant had a fixed price menu - nouveau cuisine - lovely but after a hard days walking an option for a more hearty meal would have been welcome .

    The hotel is very beautiful, in the style of an old hacienda house, in the middle of vinyard fields. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the vinyards. The hotel is part of a wine/port production (Quinta del Portal) and the cellars can be visited nearby.

    Lovely setting in the vineyards. Large room and bathroom. Good continental breakfast. Just a note: If you using this hotel as a travel base, it's quite high in the mountains, so a long dark winding road, if you coming back in the dark.
