We stayed at the 200-year-old manor during our bike packing tour in Portugal and was an unforgettable experience. The architecture and decor beautifully preserved the charm of its past. This is not far off the N2 so great spot for cyclists. The hospitality was exceptional. Our host Rusty was warm and welcoming, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. The room was meticulously clean, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. One of the highlights were the meals. The locally sourced ingredients and homemade touches were a delight. Dinner featured exquisite dishes that were both hearty and refined, offering a true taste of Portugal.

    It was beautiful, we felt as though we were in the heart of...

    It was beautiful, we felt as though we were in the heart of Portugal. It wasn't touristy, and all the local people we encountered were friendly and polite. We hired a car and the roads were great, very few cars and pretty direct routes to where we were going, with beautiful scenery all around. We were about an hour and a half drive from the nearest beach, but that was no hardship at all, even though the weather was super sunny, as there are so many beautiful river spots close by to picnic, paddle or swim.
