Really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great location near the river and the centre of Old Town. Super clean and spacious room and a nice little rooftop pool and patio that was perfect for a pretty sunset view. Great price too!

My husband and I loved our getaway for a night. The room was on the first floor overlooking the pool and countryside. The restaurant food was lovely and such high quality. The breakfast had so many choices too. There was water, coffee and tea in the room with a balcony to enjoy the sunset. There was little walks around the place, animals, swing and hammock to enjoy.

The hotel was recently refurbished which was very well done. The furniture and fitting in the room were all of very good quality and beautiful. Even the reception and adjacent lounges were very well fitted. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection of food.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was just as described. The staff were friendly, both at reception and in the bars. Our room was a good size, with effective air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The shower had strong water pressure, which was great. The location was also convenient—within walking distance to town and close to local attractions.

    Tavira is very pretty.

    Tavira is very pretty. The architecture of the older buildings is beautiful and every effort is made to keep the period properties as they should be. The River makes a wonderful place to sit and admire its beauty. There are many restaurants to choose from serving fresh fish and delicious Portuguese food.

    We have been to Tavira many times before in the past.

    We have been to Tavira many times before in the past. It has a lot of old town charm but always seems to be in the process of rebuilding with roads up everywhere. Nice for a day out and a meal. The surrounding area is great to explore but you will need a car for that. In older age the cobbled streets and road ups are difficult for manoeuvre by walking.

    Tavira is a lovely town with access to several beaches. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours. Shopping is great with plenty of variety from independent shops. There are loads of surrounding towns and villages which are worth a visit, if you don’t have a car there are two good train stations within walking distance.

    Lovely friendly town and very easy to get around.

    Lovely friendly town and very easy to get around. So many restaurants to visit and great value. Easy to get to the local beach and also to visit other nearby towns by train and bus. We enjoyed a Fado concert in the main church.

    Tavira is quite a small town, we stayed for 4 nights so it gave us 3 and a half days. At the time we went, there was a festival on which had 7 stages around the town with music and lots of craft stalls which was a bonus and gave us quite a bit more to do. If you just like to relax and soak up the sun then you need to get the boat to Tavira Island (2.60 € return), evenings I guess when the festival isn't on will be rather quiet.

    The access the majority of the local beaches is via ferry or boat taxi. There is a beach about 20 minutes away you can drive to and park but it can get extremely busy. I think our preference is to be able to access the beach without having to take a ferry or water taxi. Having said that, the beaches are very clean and water is beautiful. The umbrellas and sun chairs are pretty pricey.

    Big room with great views, 5 minutes from the main square with lots of restaurants. Due to the prime location, it’s difficult to get close to the hotel by car as many roads are closed, but it is possible. Just across the river is a boat service that takes you to the beaches. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I hope to come back to Tavira soon.

    Very nice hotel: quiet, clean, good food, offers playground for children and also a pool for kids, nice pool for adults too, very easy to go to the best beaches in the region, close to the mall and also city center. I enjoyed a lot my stay at the property I can strongly recommend this for a very nice and relaxing holiday!

    Lovely and relaxed little hotel on the river. A perfect location for wandering around Tavira or catching the boat to the island from across the street. Warm and welcoming staff and a great breakfast included. Really good value for money. We'll stay again.
