Love Vama Veche, for me it is the best place on the Romanian...
Love Vama Veche, for me it is the best place on the Romanian coast line. Some of the bars play the best music you will hear at the beach and it has a great free spirit about the place that you simply do not find at the other coastal resorts. If You cant find accommodation here then 2 Mai is a close second and worth a visit. The beach has also so far, escaped the awful beach extension program that has been taking place across Romania's beaches. The extended beaches are awful and lie walking on broken glass. At Sea View Vama Veche i found a homie feeling of belonging , cleanliness close to God , creative and structured Greek architecture ; all the while, the beautiful accomodation it offers is conveniently removed from the noisy and party centered beach clubs that you can frequent at night. So , i could properly rest at night while being close to the sea shore , have an immediate closeness to the clubs and witness a beautiful sunrise emerging from the Black Sea every morning . 100% wholeheartedly reccomended! I like the free spirit there but the local authorities there...
I like the free spirit there but the local authorities there, who are very corrupt, do nothing for the tourists but strip them of money. There's no public toilets or showers on the beach, so everybody use the sea for a wee. Basically, everybody swim in everybody's pee. Shame on the local authorities. The local authorities rented huge chunks of the beach for entrepreneurs who filled it with beachloungers. Besides, there's a huge tax evasion which is considered normal. Pritty much, nobody pays taxes there and the prices are way too high for what you get compared to the neighbouring Bulgaria.Guest review byViorelRomania - 8.0

Vama is a place people go for hedonistic fun. It isn't pretty and the dinning will never be written about in other than mediocre terms, but the people make the atmosphere, and if you have the mood for fun, Vama is the place to go. Vama Veche is nostalgia for me.
Vama Veche is nostalgia for me. It’s still a bit wild and unsophisticated. Great vibe, perfect for partying with groups of friends. The nightlife over the weekend is pure fun. Best club for me will always be Un Bar, the ‘dancefloor’ is literally the sand by the sea. Everything goes, you can skinny dip under the moonlight, drink wine by the waves after midnight or go for a sunrise swim, meeting great people on the way and making amazing memories. We like staying on strada nucilor because it's quiet and not that far, and there is a path ( it's a 15 minute walk). The room was very clean, had a selection of coffees and tea.
