Vișeu de Sus is a very good choice for a successful vacation, because: you can walk with Mocanița(steam-powered locomotive), you can hike to the Horse Waterfall, you can visit the Bârsana Monastery or the Merry Cemetery in Săpânța. It has a nice vibe inside and seemed like quite a popular place to eat. Our room was a very decent size and the air con worked well. Breakfast buffet was okay. It is a short drive from the Mocanita train station if you were hoping to visit for the day. We had a beautiful view from our balcony. Very comfortable beds. We were greeted with great warmth, a cup of coffee and a palinka on the house.
