Vișeu de Sus is a very good choice for a successful vacation, because: you can walk with Mocanița(steam-powered locomotive), you can hike to the Horse Waterfall, you can visit the Bârsana Monastery or the Merry Cemetery in Săpânța. The hosts were very nice and friendly. They invited us to a palinca in the evening and coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast because we took the 9 am train, but it smelled delicious. When we arrived they gave us a tip for a nearby restaurant which was still open and was amazing too. Parking is on site so not an issue and breakfast was plentiful.
