Where the Danube touches the mountains and the castles in the stories are real, there is a corner of the world ready at any time to welcome its visitors who will never disappoint them. The Danube Gorge on the Serbian side has a lot to offer. Some of the advantages of the place are the stunning landscapes, the tasty food and the historical fortresses that take you back hundreds of years, but also the fun places for the most energetic. So, a vacation with all-inclusive relaxation possibilities. Likewise, the apartment is equipped above the level of a 5-star hotel, with a stunning view of the Danube and a host who is very demanding about the guests' well-being. The owner, who speaks perfect Romanian, is always available to help you, even at a late arrival time, as in our case. I don't think there is a better accommodation in the area than this one, the 10 rating says it all. We would come back here anytime…

Very clean, cozy and warm apartment in a great location and with stunning views of the Danube from the balcony. The apartment has everything you need. The apartments themselves are very interesting, with a nice design, where you feel very comfortable. Many thanks to the owner! He is very hospitable and welcoming, he told us everything about the nearby attractions and advised what is best to see and where to go. We really liked this place and will be happy to come back!

The host was exceptional and so was the 2 bedroom unit. The amazing view, the tasteful design, the cleanliness, the comfort, the wifi, all were outstanding. The hosts welcomed us with drinks and home made cookies and continued to offer us other home made goodies over the next couple of days. However, irrespective of that, the apartment is outstanding and I recommend a stay there without any reservations. Exceptional!

It is cheap and simple but really nice - a great stopover with lovely breakfast. Beautiful views. Had ham and cheese omlette at 8am looking over the great view. Easy walk down to good restaurants.

    Milanovac is a small town. People are friendly and welcoming, Town needs to get into a serious renovation, especially painting. During the season, it is a necessity to organize, at least some, evening attractions suitable to the place and local cultural image.

    Great area to visit.

    Great area to visit. Tourism is still in its infancy, so there are not many restaurants; however, there are quite a few monasteries and fortresses to see, including the famous Tabula Trajana, dedicated to the Roman emperor, carved into the rock over the Djerdap gorge. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings will amaze almost everyone. Recommended.

    A pleasant small town located in a picturesque area.

    A pleasant small town located in a picturesque area. There is a promenade and some nice restaurants. There isn’t much to see in the town itself, but you can explore the surroundings, visit the Cave, see the Iron Gate or Golubac Fortress, and more.

    An excellent starting point for a pleasant boat trip along the Danube, in the Iron Gate gorge and for a visit to the medieval fortress Glubac. If you like local fish or grill, eat them in a restaurant Lepenska ribica .

    Malo mesto na obali Dunava, sa više restorana i kafića,...

    Malo mesto na obali Dunava, sa više restorana i kafića, prodavnica, bankom, benzinskom i autobuskom stanicom i uređenom plažom, lukom i šetalištem. Decenijama je orijentisan prema turizmu pa ima dosta privatnog smeštaja. Hotel Lepenski vir je zapušten ali se mogu naći lepe sobe za iznajmiti. Centar u 2023. se renovira, pa će se videti u kom pravcu će se razvijati. Odlična lokacija sa obilazak okoline - Lepenskog vira, Fetisalam tvrđave u Kladovu ili šetnji po prirodi, recimo poseta vidikovcu Ploče, sa najlepšim pogledom na Dunav (i "Kazan") i Nacionalnom parku Đerdap.

    We visited in early July.

    We visited in early July. Sleepy village during the day but came alive at night with locals and tourists. However, noise did not go late. Lovely view and great location for exploring Derdap Park. On the weekend there is a free local performance of Sebian culture.
