City of Subotica has a long and rich history. It has a lot of monuments, beautiful building, a lot of nice streets for casual city stroll, beautiful restaurants and it's close to Palić. You can also visit Vinarija Zvonko Bogdan and if you previously booked wine tasting tour it can be a very pleasant experience. It is an interesting city with much green, beautiful buildings, rich cultural heritage. We were especially interested in the art nouveau buildings. Lots of the buildings can be seen from inside. Nice city to complete your day with Novi Sad or Sombor. If you look for a relax options, Subotica is a good place, not big but also no small. There are a lot of grill fast food, serbian restaurants and bars and pubs. Really nice art nouveau architecture, don't miss the synagogue! 1 hour to visit the centre is enought if you are travelling with your car. By bus there are several connections to Novi Sad and also buses to Sombor (6:10, 10:00 and 14.45) it's almost 1,5h because stops in all the villages. At the time we were there (may 2024) train was not working. Accomodations for good price and also food is cheap. The location is quiet, with 2 supermarkets nearby, but just a short walk to the centre. The hosts were great, spoke English and were very generous with what they leave in stock in the kitchen.
