A drive from Jeddah to Al-Ula via Yanbu was excellent. Although was confused of the Speed Limits as many were not following it, | The landscape along the drive was phenominal. Al-Ula as a city was enjoyable with friends and family although it is recommended to visit the city during winters rather than during the summers. Hotels might be expensive so plan & book atleast 2 - 3 months in advance. UNSECO Sites were well maintained, explained and well within the traveling distance. Easy to access and the staff at the visitor centers were friendly and helpfule. They were patiently answering all my queries. Some of the restaurants mentioned on Al-Ula website are a must try although they might be expensive. The ambience and staff performance was excellent. The ambience of this city is unique.
The ambience of this city is unique. You probably haven't seen anything like it. Neat, quiet, clean city surrounded by rocky mountains. Lots of historical places to visit - elephant rock, old town, moraya, Hegra, all amazing, picturesque places, like from a storybook. AlUla is one of the most beautiful places l have ever visited. I did stargazing in the desert, Hegra tour, Maraya tour and visited the Elephant rock. The old town of AlUla is also stunning, especially in the evening. Pretty much everything in AlUla is just magical.Guest review byMarionFinland
