A hidden gem located in the forest close to the hiking trail leading up to Baranec (screenshot taken with the app mapy.cz). Even though it's in a remote location, there were no bugs, and the house was clean and cozy. The kitchen is more than well equipped and there is also a cauldron (bogrács) for cooking outside. Highly recommend this place!

We really enjoyed staying at Chata u Porubäna. The small cottage in the back of the owners garden is very nice, with a cute terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs. We couldn't have wished for more and would have liked to stay more than the one night we did. Special thanks to the owner's son, who is a really nice guy who speaks exceptionally good English and helped us with whatever we needed. Good luck on your upcoming roadtrip!
