A vibrant small town but very much focused on surfers. Those who do not take part in surfing should also visit because there are plenty of things to do besides surfing. The beach is perfect but be warned there is limited space for swimming and you need to be careful because there are rocks at a number of locations that you must avoid. When the tide is out you can see the rocks. Walking along the beach and around the El Zonte area is easy and enjoyable so for several days I totally recommend a visit to El Zonte.Guest review byPeterIreland - 10.0

El Zonte is a real nice place to go, the little restaurant they have on the side of the road can surprise you in a good way, the food is so cheap and good. Like a little stand I stop and my surprise that they had pancakes and crepes with Nutella. Great for surfing and if you're looking for a quiet place to hang out with a few good restaurants If you don't surf and are a swimmer it might not be the best place to be. The beaches are too rocky and not really equipped for lying in the sun and swimming.Guest review byRandyItaly
