Khanom is more suitable for tourists than Sichon beach which is very small. Sichon town is great. Khanom is very quiet.
Khanom is very quiet. Suitable only for people that don t want nightlife. Very few independent restaurants to eat in khanom apart from their resort. We stopped here on our return journey home to Bangkok airport. The nicest coastal road for driving for scenery between khanom and sichon. Pick a hotel around the south of the bay for less rubbish on the beach. Having an elevated view is lovely for dining experience. The beaches could be lovely but sadly all the beaches had too much rubbish and plastic. I’ve never seen it so bad in Thailand. That’s probably why it isn’t really touristy here. If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years ago, as far as beaches go, that's the place. No construction (yet), very spaced, green mountains all around (with no houses on them), etc. and very close to Samui and Phangan (30 minutes drive from Donsak Pier)Guest review byMichalThailand - 10.0

Parked my motorcycle out front of my unit and I always like that. Nadine is a lovely host. The Bamboo is an older establishment now and showing a bit of its age but it appeals to those appreciate the simpler things in life. Plenty of posh more expensive new hotels being built around. The lady boss served us drip coffee with toast/ eggs and homemade jam. We could even taste the real fruits in the jam. Having breakfast in the outdoor setting was amazing and we really feel connected with nature. The pool was clean and definitely a lifesaver in the crazy Thailand heat.
