We were looking for a quiet beach to visit. This is a hidden gem. Tim is a friendly and helpful host. The location is outstanding - great food, a national park and long beach. It’s not full of tourists, in a good way.

We got an upgrade on a double room with pool access. Great room, very spacious, clean, great ac, nice room features. I would recommend booking a room with pool access tho. Then you can also stay at "your" pool (there are different pools at the resort), which is generally quieter and you have stretchers at your room. The breakfast was delicious: many (changing) options, great taste, and great location with a view on the beach. The staff is wonderful, although it was a bit complicated to get a second pool towel at the beach. You had to go back to the reception... If you want to have dinner outside the hotel, there are many restaurants close by (walking distance, 3 minutes). We absolutely enjoyed our stay and can only recommend this resort.

I had a great stay. Nice and clean room, bed comfortable. Staf very helpful and friendly. Nice and clean swimming pool. Close to shops and restaurants. I recommend to stay here.

The location is very close to all the shops, restaurants, bars and beaches in Khao Lak. It is a 30 minutes walk from Lam Ru National Park which is a lovely place to spend a day. The room was cleaned every day which was a nice touch and breakfast was good (even though not very diverse). The lady from the reception desk spoke really good English, was very nice and helped us with booking a taxi to Phuket airport. For the money paid, the place totally exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay at Rakkawan Residence again if we return to Khao Lak.
