    We came to get away form Patong Town for the final days of our trip, so the location was not a problem for us as we were also close to the airport. We recommend a visit to Baan Ar-Joor - the food is lovely and the history is interesting.

    Mai Khao Beach is amazing, one of the best on the island but...

    Mai Khao Beach is amazing, one of the best on the island but there is little in the vicinity to do. It's a long way from the main resorts which some may prefer. Its 10 minutes to the airport so perfect for a 1 night stay before flying home but personally I think its not for those wishing to stay a week or more unless you hire a car / moped.

    Loved the location of Mai Khao!

    Loved the location of Mai Khao! The resort pools and beach itself were amazing and not overly crowded. Watching the planes land over the beach was fascinating and made for awesome photos! There were plenty of local eateries outside of the resort and plenty of places for massages, facials, pedicures etc... The stalls down at the beach had fabulous food and drinks for $5 AUD and under and the variety was excellent! And no upset bellies!! It was easy to hail a tuk tuk when it got too hot to walk further distances as they were everywhere. One of our friends hadn't been to Thailand before so we took a day trip into Patong which took an hour and a half. We thought she should see Bangla Rd at least once! Was glad to get back to the peace and tranquility of Mai Khao though!!

    This place was one I will keep coming back to.

    This place was one I will keep coming back to. The room exceeded my expectations. I was happy to see there was a couch with an extra sitting room outside the main bedroom area. This was very helpful. The food in the restaurant has a good variety of options and it was the best curry I had the whole vacation. The hosts were so kind and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

    Mai Khao beach is relatively cleaner compared to the other more popular beaches in Phuket. It's also less congested and therefore is more suitable for walks and watching sunsets. We had a Thai dinner at Sunset Restaurant along Mai Kao beach and I would say it was one of the best meals we had while in Phuket. We had sea food tom yum, fried calamari, pandan chicken and fried vegetables. The price came up to less than 1000 baht for the 3 of us inclusive of drinks. Really value for money!

    The swimming pool at the resort was amazing.

    The swimming pool at the resort was amazing. The biggest I've ever been in and not crowded at all. The beach had quite dumpy waves that were unsafe for swimming with the 4&6 years old kids we had. The pool was much safer

    The facilities look new. They are clean and comfortable. From this perspective, there is a very good value for money. The staff is very helpful. To get to the beach you need to walk through Splash Beach Resort. The access is restricted, but Rapina guests are allowed to go. The great attraction is Mai Khao Beach, with the planes approaching the airport. Unfortunately, when we stayed there, the planes here took off in the direction of the sea, which was less impressive.

    The location was great. Away from the rat race of Phuket traffic but very close to a good assortment of restaurants. Easy access to the airport without the usual traffic hassles. A short walk along the beach to the end of the runway so you can have planes taking off or landing directly overhead. The facilities were a bit dated but all there.

    Awesome fun place, pool surrounds the whole thing, hydro slide is fun, nice room on the whole! Restaurant was good. Very yummy breakfast! The beach is really nice!! Its a very chill place in Thailand, not much to do compared to south Phuket, good place to unwind. Staff responsive to any issues we had.

    beautiful resort. Polo area and pool bar were great. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you want a memorable experience of local food in a beautiful located place at the beach you should try Big Too Bar just a few minutes from the hotel.
