Jomtien beach has a more relaxed vibe than Pattaya, I enjoyed several of the resaurants while there. We hired a moped which was a definate plus, just need to ride carefully & accept that the local thais don't take noice of traffic lights or one way streets. Short walk down Soi 7 to the beach and the Bhat bus route up towards many bars and restaurants along Beach Road and other Sois such as Soi Welcome. Or up Soi 7 to Rumpo Market with its many food stalls, bars, restaurants and the 25 Bhat market.
