Patong beach is nice. It's a party place. Seems to be pretty safe. Lots of people selling and renting lots of things. Not a quiet getaway place but a great place to see the nightlife and it is a good place for swimming. The beach has no public bathroom facilities and most places will charge ten to twenty baht for bathroom usage. The area is not ideal to stay in if you are looking for a clean and peaceful holiday experience. You are charged foe everything there making the environment unfriendly. I love Patong Beach, the soft sand, the warm water. I enjoy the vibe from the masseuse, the fireworks displays, the dancing in the evening and the Jungceylon Mall. Not to mention the kick boxing. It's easy to get around Patong. A favorite eatery was Dang.Guest review byFelicity - 8.0

Very busy place. I ate mostly at local Thai restaurants. Easy to get around in Patong. I rented a motorbike, 5000THB for 1 month, going with tuk tuk are way too expensive. For a family with young children I would prefer Kata Beach.Guest review byClausDenmark
