    A fantastic trip to Betong!

    A fantastic trip to Betong! The local food scene was a definite highlight, with the famous chicken rice and fresh seafood from the night market being unforgettable. Beyond the culinary delights, the town's unique landmarks like the iconic clock tower, the big mailbox, and the unique hand gesture architecture on the hilltop provided plenty of amazing photo opportunities. For a dose of tranquility and breathtaking views, the misty sea in the morning was a spectacular experience, offering a refreshing start to the day. The journey was completed with a walk through the historical Pyamit tunnel, adding a fascinating historical layer to the trip. Betong truly offers a perfect blend of delicious food, cultural sights, and natural beauty.

    A busy, relatively affluent border town, with a lot of...

    A busy, relatively affluent border town, with a lot of tourists from Malaysia but few from elsewhere. The town centre is busy with shoppers, the nearest mall is quite far away in Malaysia. I didn't see another Westerner during my visit. High in the hills, it is a little cooler than surrounding lowlands. Interesting history, with the hills near the border being a hide out for the Communist Party go Malaysia for many years.

    A medium sized town with the largest post box in the world.

    A medium sized town with the largest post box in the world. People there are friendly and helpful. Places of interest are nearby and easy to get there. Many hotels in the town area. Nice food at Restaurant Bai Yok with clean kitchen. It’s durians season now and the prices are reasonable.. Enjoy! Sawasdee khap!

    The sea of midst is definitely the highlight of our trip.

    The sea of midst is definitely the highlight of our trip. It is really worth taking the time off to visit and marvel at God's creation. The Piyamit Tunnel is also another place tourist should visit, to have a better understanding of the Communist history and movement in South East Asia. There are only 2 warehouse stores for shopping but it is good enough to meet one's crave for Thai snacks. There are plenty of food stores and restaurants, mainly local Thai food and Chinese food. If you are addicted to coffee, there is one Amazon Cafe in the midst of town. Happy hours is from 2pm-8pm

    I would definitely visit again.

    I would definitely visit again. It could be a small town for others, but I find it very relaxing and you can have all the entertainments such as message spa, bar, cafe, local food stalls, morning and night market, parks, duty free shop, souvenir shops and wholesale shops.

    Nice place to visit, ppl's r ok, food is ok, places r clean (8/10).... But custom dept. ppl r unpolite unsmilely, unfriendly, looks like v owe them something a lot like that. Working too slow even not on holiday.
