I would 100% recommend to stay here. The whole place exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect as the surrounding countryside and views were so beautiful and pure peace and tranquility. Its around 10 minutes drive into the central area of chiang dao and 10-20 minutes drive to local attractions, cafes, restaraunts and mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in 1 hour early as soon as we arrived. The staff brought fresh towels and refilled our free minibar and snacks on the second morning. They arranged for our free breakfast to be ready at a time of our choice in cafe on site which was a delicious traditional pork ric soup, fresh fruit and a coffee of our choice. The glamping pods and outdoor space was large, modern and clean. The only downside was the kettle dodnt have the correct plug adaptor but this was a minor inconvenience. The surrounding gardens and river were beautifully maintained. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, beautiful, and value for money as well as a great base to explore chiang dao then this is the place

The bamboo cabins are clean, comfortable and cosy. The breakfast options and quality excellent. What makes this place extra special is the owner Nung and his wife. They are both extremely friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was completely stress free, nothing was ever too much trouble and they were on hand with suggestions of places to visit and made arrangements to make sure our trip was extra special. An absolute gem in Chiang Dao and highly recommended we would definitely stay here again

Everything! It was the best stay we had in Thailand so far. It was a lovely small house with a fantastic view, amazing buffalo neighbors, and a wonderfully tasty (we chose vegetarian) breakfast, which also lasted for lunch. The host was very friendly and made our stay easy. He brought us a scooter, and if we had a question, he answered immediately.

I was so stupid that I booked a house a day later than I arrived. and found out about it at 5 pm when I got to the hotel. Can you imagine my disappointment?!? good thing the owner of the hotel provided accommodation for the same money a day earlier and agreed with booking.com. the staff is quiet and helpful. great and unique cappuccino and matcha latte. dinner was prepared from the best products. breakfast was hearty. Believe me, this night was one of the best in my life.

Hosts were very quick at replying on booking.com and went above and beyond to help. We met the owner in person when we checked in and he made sure we had everything we needed. He recommended a brilliant motorcycle ride for us when we asked for some 'non-touristy' things to do, as well as recommending a place for lunch and helping us to plot it all into Google maps. He even recommended a brilliant evening spot for dinner. He was available when we needed him but also gave us our privacy. The room was brilliant with an amazing view of the mountain in Chiang dao! The planting around the buildings was incredible (even in dry season!) and made it feel like a little oasis. The pool was great - long and deep enough to swim a few lengths and everywhere was lovely and clean. We can't recommend Bougain Villas enough - we even stayed here an extra night!

The property and the room were gorgeous. Huge amount of time and effort has gone into developing the look of the place. Incredible views of the mountain ranges, perfect distance from Chiang Dao centre so there’s almost no noise here apart from the wildlife.

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go.     Welcoming little town well worth visiting.

    Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

    Not touristic at all, and the local people not friendly. Not recommend for solo travelers especially women. The treat very primitive. No way to travel without scooter. There aren't taxi or bicycle available. The nature around nice, also the caves. The mountain at night stunning. The hot spring nice but not a big deal.. Nest 2 restaurant very recommended. There is a realy nice Thursday market between 5-8 pm Don't take more than 3 days There and don't expect to nice hospitality..

    So if you'd like to get off the beaten track somewhat the Chiang Dao, the 1 hour bus ride north of Chiang Mai might be just the ticket. Nestled next to soaring, cloud-wreathed peaks, the pace of life slows down, there's interesting caves to explore, a riverside hot spring and Tuesday covered market.

    We ended up staying 3 nights from the original 2 nights. There are a lot to see and explore. We didn't even go to the cave. There is a hot spring not far from town but the smell is too strong for me. Another one is Pong Arng hot springs, part of the Pha Daeng National Park, some 30km out from the bus station. Tickets are 100 baht for foreigners adults, 20 baht for Thai nationals which also admit you to the Sri Sangwan Waterfall some 5-6 km from there. The longan plantations as far as eyes can see, and the mountains view as the sun sets are just beautiful. You may get "lost" in some picturesque cul-de-sac temples or villages which you will never regret!

    Simple, good, peaceful, facilities and breakfast were very basic, close to destinations of elephants and spring waters. The village had a nice market. Many insects and mosquitoes.Staff was helpful and polite.

    Everything! Thank you very much to the owner and her parents for a wonderful time of the year at the farm. The views around from the observation platform are stunning! Her mom cooks amazing, that was my best breakfast during all the Thailand tour. I liked falling asleep and waking up to the singing of birds. The bed was soft. Kay did everything to make sure I had the best impressions of my stay in Chiang Dao. Thank you! Appreciate it!❤️

    The property is in a great location just off the main road but is still very quiet and only an 8 minute walk from the bus station. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, he introduced himself straight away and immediately sorted us out with a motorbike which is needed to get around Chiang Dao. They also assisted us with the bus timetables to get to our next destination and even drove us to the bus station as we said goodbye.

    Fantastic rustic farmstead, a great place to relax in rural Thailand. We loved the accommodation which are basic wooden bungalows. Peaceful, comfortable, easy to recommend. Host is very friendly with good tips on local things to do. Try the free hot spring a couple of kilometres away. No restaurant on site (except breakfast) so ideally transport needed to Chiang Dao or bring food to eat.

    Beautiful, deeply peaceful place with amazing views of the mountain. Staff were wonderful, kind and very helpful, including pick ups and drop offs to the bus station. Motorbikes and bicycles available to rent. Flawless experience, Chiang Dao is all about relaxing in a very peaceful setting, and Dreamhome is exactly that.
