Not the nicest part of island.
Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. In my opinion, Had Rin is not suitable for families at all, but only for young people who like to lie on the beach most of the day and wait for the full moon parties. It's close to the vibrant Haad Rin hotspot, but super calm and quiet, with two beaches within walking distance. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is amazing, and the swimming pool will become your second home after a warm day outside. It's close to the location of the full moon party, but thanks to its location, you don't have to wait until the party's over to catch some sleep.
