Amazing place on the island.
Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.Guest review byJohanAustralia - 10.0

Haad Yao has so many beautiful beaches that have an immense amount of underwater life. Be wary that some of the beaches though are rock / crushed coral based so they can hurt under foot / be slippery navigating. If you can pack reef shoes with you along with your snorkel it would be fantastic. We came to the island for my kids to learn scuba and dive at Sail Rock. We went with Asia Blue and the service was brilliant - they picked us up and dropped us back every day. The instructors and guides were all very patient, informative and have deep passion for the ocean. When we didn’t eat at the resorts restaurant we used delivery KPG as I didn’t have a method of transport we could all fit in safely. Every to ing we got was tasty from burgers, to pizza to Thai. It was delicious! If you plan on walking around just be mindful Koh Phangan is very hilly.Guest review byKasandraAustralia - 4.0

Very quiet area, only 3 or 4 places to eat or get a drink, the beach is beautiful but too shallow to swim in, nice to sit in though. The area is picturesque and at least when we were there uncrowded, quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of choices for places to eat and stay. Several restaurants are perched on the hillsides and have spectacular views of the beach and gulf. There is a 7-11, a dive operation, and a motorbike repair shop. The location is perfect, offering easy access to all the beach, steps were. It issue for me. The view from the bungalow was simply breathtaking, making every morning feel special. The highlight of my stay was the food in the restaurant. Every meal was a delight. The quality and presentation of the dishes were top-notch. The room was actually nicer than the photo since they renovated it recently, and everything was clean and well maintained. The pool and restaurant are very nice, and at a perfect spot at the middle of the beach. There is a 7/11 and some very good restaurants right outside to the hotel as well.
