Our 4-night stay was an entirely positiv experience. Location is definitely remote but if this what you are looking for this place is a gem. Rooms are nice and stylish, pool with river view is small but really beautiful. The staff is very sweet and make you feel at ‚home‘. On top, we got a special dinner treat that we loved (thank you, Edy:-)) As much as the close-by noodle soup place, the roti man and the 79 Altitude coffee shop.

    I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

    Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday.

    Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! Some wonderful seafood buffets to uncover and a visit to one of the elephant camps will satisfy your urge to explore.

    A nice tropical island with white sand beaches, beautifull mountains, waterfalls and rainforests. Very civilized - plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for all kinds of foods and wallet thicknesses. You need to designate the season when to visit: I prefer rainy, or, as locals say "green", with rains every day but quiet and lush nature and no crowds to visit the paradice island.

    Probably what most of Thailand was like 25 years ago - limited beach front developments and no ugly high rise. Plenty of local places close to the hotel to go out to and eat. Not too busy at time of visit as coming into the low season. I would think that the queues to the ferry to get to-from the island must be pretty long during the high season which would be something to be aware of especially if flying out of Bangkok

    Love the island!

    Love the island! It reminds me of some the better parts of beachfront Mexico in the past. The Klong Plu Waterfall was also definitely a highlight, especially for a cooler dip when the ocean water is arguably "too warm".

    Napalai cooking school was hands down the best thing we did here! Bunny was amazing! The rest of our stay was brilliant also, depending where you stay and how confident you are on a scooter, could spend a week exploring the island

    Great hotel. Splendid tropical grounds. Fantastic swimmingpools especially the one not pictured on booking.com with a slide. Great fun. Great breakfast with coffee station, egg station and noodle station (beware, this one is a little hidden so took us days ro find). Being low season we pretty much had everything to ourselves. Fantastic. Very good value for money. Do not know if this place would be as good in high season. But in low season it was a gem.

    The staff were the most polite and respectful and befitting of a 5 star hotel. The room was unique and memorable. The beach side area and swimming pool majestic - although its not a beach you can lounge on the beach side area makes up for this. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced.
