    Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.

    During off season (July) the Island is reasonably quiet, many places are actually closed. Still, we had a great time. We had picked the right accommodation and were lucky with the weather, Still, it was often very windy with one powerful storm, which made the beaches useless: high bumper waves with rocks under the surf. Luckily, we had a great pool at our place. Things to do: Great local food everywhere and very affordable. Mangrove and island cave kayaking Elephant sanctuary (go for the 2hrs option if you can afford it) Old Town (great few form the pier and lots of tourist shops) National Park (jungle walk, lighthouse, beach) Many beaches to explore Scooter hires everywhere

    Koh Lanta is a nice island, I went at the end of the season...

    Koh Lanta is a nice island, I went at the end of the season so not too many people. I think in peak season it might be uncomfortable with the number of tourists. The beaches on the west coast were amazing, we didn't go to any on the east coast, not enough time. Lots of restaurants and night markets. Great to walk along the beach and try different restaurants to eat lunch or dinner. The ethical elephant sanctuary on the south of Koh Lanta was an eye opening experience and changed my views. Lots of walks and waterfalls to see.

    Koh Lanta is such an amazing island!

    Koh Lanta is such an amazing island! You definitely need to visit it if you want a relaxing holiday, without much partying and nightlife. The scenery is amazing, the island is very tropical and covered in green. Renting a motorbike and riding through the island is a must. You need at least 5 days to see the island, make a day trip to surrounding islands and relax. The beaches are great for watching the sunset and chilling, but the water isn't the best. It is very warm and not very clear when we visited at the end of April.

    It's a beautiful quiet island.

    It's a beautiful quiet island. It's far more peaceful than the other party like islands. You'll find mostly locals, digital nomads and families/honeymooners. So if you wish for a more eventful stay, this is probably not for you, but if you yearn for peace and tranquility, then Koh Lanta is a safe bet. The beaches are smaller and not that typical green/blue hue you'd find in other places, but further south you'll find nice beaches where you can chill and get a massage for 10€. You can do tours to visit some islands that are close by (40 minutes by boat) and those will have beautiful green/blue water with white sandy beaches. I highly recommend it

    Beautiful long be beach.

    Beautiful long be beach. Plentiful bars and restaurants to choose from and very reasonably priced. Take advantage of “Happy Hour” We visited the Lanta animal welfare. Cost very little and an hour tour and seeing and hearing the wonderful work they do. We also did Koh Phi Phi/Bamboo Beach etc.. 2 snorkel spots along the way. Our daughter did a more advanced snorkelling day.

    We booked the Lanta Miami half an hour before we arrived as was only going for the day originally. What a great choice the hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. A small friendly hotel right on the beach. Accommodation was lovely, Very clean and spacious. Hotel staff were great too. Loved this place wish we could of stayed longer. Restaurants and bars along beach only a very short walk. Very chilled Island was perfect for Boxing night to recharge our batteries after a busy first week in Thailand.

    The location is great, really close (5min walk) to the beautiful long beach with plenty places to eat. Garden is well maintained, interesting plants. Room was very clean, they do cleaning services every day, including the change of towels. Breakfast rather basic, but you can ask for freshly baked egg omlet or pancakes that are very delicious. You can book some tours and scooter directly at the reception. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, a pity it was really short.

    The host was extremely lovely and friendly. She cooked us a pad thai on arrival and provided fresh fruit and water every day along with suggestions on what to do on the island. The room was large and extremely clean, probably the cleanest room we've had on our 8 weeks of travels across Europe and Thailand. The location is perfect and just a few minutes walk to long beach. Everything about our stay was perfect, will definitely book again if we visit again.

    A lovely resort with friendly staff and lovely huts to stay in. A five minute walk from Long Beach and a couple cafes next door if you don’t want to rent a moped on the island (but you can directly from the hotel which was great).

    Was the second time there. Nice clean quite rooms. You can use pool and breakfast from partner hotel at the beach. Rent motorbycicle. A quite area in Koh Lanta. I like more then Long Beach. Cheaper then the hotels at the beach.
