We had a nice time staying at the Mae-Sa-Riang Home - we had a room with a balcony and a mountain view and both the room and the balcony were very cute. There seem to be only two rooms on the first floor that share a bathroom and there is a dorm room with another bathroom downstairs where there is also the common area / breakfast room and reception. It's all very cute, including the old lady who was in charge of the place while the other English-speaking host, Jessy, was away at the time of our stay but available on the phone - we had fun trying to organise a motorbike ride to the Myanmar border (plus visiting some local temples and the Salawin National Park that was closed / we were not allowed to enter for some reason) and the next day to the local hot springs and bus station. It took quite some time sorting this out (not sure why) but was worth it, as I don't think there is a lot to do in the town itself and the town didn't seem that nice to just wonder around - I walked around the river while waiting for our laundry to finish and eventually gave up, as it really wasn't that interesting - we liked Mae Hong Son much better this time around (we visited both places ten years ago and back then we seemed to like Mae Sariang more). It is a nice place to stay but if doing just the Mae Hong Son loop one night might be enough - if doing side trips two nights is good but probably not necessary to stay longer.

Excellent accommodation - we were in the 1 bed bungalow and we had a private balcony with wonderful views. The place is well looked after with lovely gardens and outdoor space. It also very peaceful and quiet.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful host. He was so polite and friendly. The place is tucked away and somewhat tricky to locate but once there the accommodations were very good. Comfortable bed, hot water for showers and good Wi-Fi. If I had to travel to Mae Hon Son again, I would choose to stay again.

Could have easily stayed in the front yard the whole day. You got a bar and food all in one place. The staff were amazing, very helpful and willing to help with anything. Thanks a lot for everything!!
