The staff are very attentive, but only when they understand you so rhe Restaurant is letdown by the lack of English speakers so the wrong thing turns up Regularly at breakfast The breakfast offered however is fabulous and beautifully presented …once they understand what you want and that is a challenge. The design of the restaurant like the rest of the hotel is beautiful and it has a wonderful spot overlooking the river. Dinner, is expensive and it certainly not the best food in the area but you would need to take a taxi or have a hire car to go anywhere else as the hotel is literally a tiny island in the middle of a confluence of two very gentle rivers …. which is rather wonderful when you stay here We hired a car to get anywhere but the one occasion when I took a taxi I spent 30 minutes going in a circle on a magical round trip because the directions that I had given to Reception were not conveyed correctly to the taxi driver who spoke no English and could not read Thai. I never reached my destination and had to return to the hotel Again misunderstanding of English was a recurrent theme at this hotel I recommend if you stay here to download the LINE app and request anything you want in writing on the line app as that seemed to have a better result, but of course you can’t use that in the hotel restaurant This is nothing to take away from the intention of the staff to help you as much as possible, but it’s just difficult when they don’t understand anything you’re saying and they don’t tell you when they don’t understand you. I did use Google translate so that they could read it in Thai, but I think some of the staff can’t read in Thai so that doesn’t really help either. The response from Reception when using the LINE app was exceptionally good 👏👏👏 Diana in particular at Reception should be highly praised and the owners of this hotel are lucky to have her

Me and my girlfriend are visiting all Thailand, travelling from more than one months severals cities from south to nord and never we founded a place like this. Perfect position in a quiet road with some close restaurant and bar. We felt at home at Baan Baimai, the room was spacious and comfortable, with big fridge, A/C, very comfortable bed and a nice and large bathroom. Everything is clean and nice. But the most important thing that gived us the appareance to feel at home was the kindness and the hospitality of the owners and of the employers. They offered us a welcome coffee and gived us some tips for visit the city, also helped us a night to solve some little problem. Thank you for this beautiful experience.

10/10 would recommend this place to explore Ayutthaya! The host and her mother who owns PU inn across the road were so lovely and hospitable, and even helped us plan our trip! it’s in a good area with some nice bars and shops and not far from the main centre and temples at all about 10 minutes It was such good value for money and would definitely return :-) thank you for a wonderful stay we really enjoyed it

Excellent new hotel in a quiet corner of Ayutthaya. Beautiful environment, great swimming pool, awesome beds & hot showers. It was so good we decided to stay an extra night. This is where we will always be staying in future trips to this part of Thailand.

Absolutely amazing stay at one love. The location is perfect! The historical sites are literally at the end of the road. There’s also a decent bar at the end of the road and a 7 eleven a couple of minutes walk away. I was welcomed very warmly and despite a mix up with booking.com I was given an upgrade to a private bungalow at no extra price. The hotel also offers breakfast and bike loans. Amazing staff and amazing place in the best location in Ayutthya and all for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place and will be staying here again on my next visit!

The property is in the university campus but is privately run. Staff was very helpful. Plenty of parking. Relatively quiet at night although close to the highway. Room is large and decently equipped. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Thai choices were tasty. Nice fruit selection. Inexpensive. Will stay here again next time. Recommended for those looking for value for money accommodation with standard services.

Everything! The staff are lovely, the rooms are extremely clean, and the beds are comfy. The garden is tranquil and is in a quiet location, despite being 1 minute walk to the main road. The American breakfast is nice, and they also give you watermelon and mini banana muffins. The photos make it look older than it is - it's modern and lovely. We travelled as a family of 5 (3ad + 9yo + 7yo). They kindly stored our luggage for the day until we caught the 133 sleeper train to Laos. 5 min walk down the road we can highly recommend a restaurant [something like Sabong). It's not street food. It's very affordardable with Thai food, fries, delicious smoothies, fab deserts, and is constantly jam-packed.

    The temples are very interesting, and it takes time to visit at least 6 or 7. It's advisable to visit with a guide or a tuk-tuk. The city doesn't offer much else. Even the food options are limited (in July). Very good place Coffee Old City and Earthling Craft - Coffee & Bar (if you are not afraid of spiders)

    Very cultural & if well planned most areas are accessible by bike - we hired for a couple of days & did 3-4hrs each day which was more than enough to visit multiple sites especially in the heat & humidity

    The site is easy to get to just asked any taxi driver. You could wander around for hours just see everything. Maybe not for children. cost me 80baht, Thai get in a lot cheaper. They is places to eat out side site.

    What an incredible experience to visit such a place of...

    What an incredible experience to visit such a place of immense historical and cultural value. I didn't know what to expect and was amazed at the wondrous sites and how spiritual it was. There's so much to see and I was pleasantly surprised that it's wasn't full of TikTok vloggers. Wear good walking shoes, bring lots of water and where possible avail of the heat reflecting umbrellas, provided free but should be returned afterwards. I learned so much and took away an experience I won't forget, which was down to a wonderful tour guide. We travel to experience other cultures and embrace what we can learn and this truly was a place of wonderment. Be respectful of their culture, and you too will be enlightened.

    Ayutthaya, like lots of places in SE Asia still hasn't fully recovered from Covid. The actual town isn't anything special. The Archaeological Park is astounding. The other fabulous area is the Riverside, which has numerous superb restaurants, for people who search them out. Far better prices and quality than Bangkok. Some specialities include enormous prawns as big as lobsters (750 g), soft shelled crabs (really unusual find), a wide range of fish, beautiful presentation. Great service everywhere and the local people really are pleased to welcome you.

    The hotel is very close to Ayutthaya Historical Park. You can rent a bicycle for 50 baht and see most everything at the park in a day. It was peaceful and quiet, clean and comfortable. They offer a nice breakfast for 100 baht. The staff are very kind and helpful.
