Staying here is like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert.. magical. Everything was great. Beautiful decor with an artistic touch , neat and tidy , ample towels for shower and swimming , personal attention from the staff , comfortable beds , spacious room, plugs at your bed to charge your phone, strong water pressure in the shower and strong air conditioning. It’s quiet and peaceful with zero noise from the bustling town yet you are a 10min walk from the Medina. We arrived on the public holiday for their prophets birthday and were treated to the special dessert that all Tunisians eat on this day. Breakfast was a treat with our table set up outside under the trees and for the coffee lovers , great coffee. I highly recommend staying here.

In fact, the day we arrived, we were delayed on our arrival, so we’ve asked if a late dinner could be served, which was met without hesitation. We arrived and the dinner was waiting for us. A busy bustling oasis town on the edge of the desert, it's not touristy just people getting on with their daily lives. No pressures, no hassle, no problems. There is desert tourism and many tours are available if required. Eden Palm - a date palm plantation just to the south of town is interesting with a guided tour and tastings.

Tozeur is a great place to explore the desert (Mos Espa and Ong Jmal areas). The oasis is great for walks, medina is quite nice and relaxed, and there is Dar Cheraït museum - probably the most extravagant museum I ever visited (in particular the journey through Tunisian history).

Tozeur is a city far in the southwest of Tunisia close to the border of Algeria. It has the biggest palm forest in Tunisia where you can walk or ride a bike. It is a must visit destination for Star war lovers because of Mos Espa, a tour worth having. There are also two oasis as well as two flooded villages worth visiting Tamerza and Chebika. Be careful as some tours won’t allow you to visit Tamerza. The private tour with locals in Chebika it’s a waste of dinars 😂. Walk around Chebika on your own. It’s the same thing and you will enjoy it nonetheless. The cascade it’s not a big deal for european travelers but as water is rare to find in places near the desert, for locals its supposed to be a super nice sightseeing. It is included in all tours so just enjoy it. Finally I believe that two days are more than enough for Tozeur. So it’s better to book a day tour that includes all the destinations mentioned above (the oasis , Midas canyon -only for photos and Mos espa and Ong jemel) and have one day left which is more than enough too, to explore the city.

Excellent location and facilities and very pour service. The service and the availability of the items on the menue were deceiving. Most drinks were missing. Poor understanding of orders and the content. And the most appalling is that some staff didn't even bother responding to our requests and when complaint they informed us that the concerned staff will contact us which ofcourse never happened. This hotel is an amazing shell without content.

I went there for Star Wars, and got soooo much more out of the place. Our guide took us around and we saw things I never dreamed of Mother Earth or (wo)man being able to produce. It was amazing. Chebika, desert, Tameza, climbing the camel and I can continue... In Tozeur the center is normal Tunisian buzzing without being agressive-buy-from-me. Had some trouble finding a nice place to eat, but the food we found was high quality and the prices absolutely agreeable.

Everything was perfect, apartment was beautiful, except missing towels for shower and hands, but it seems to be normal in Tunisia so it doesn´t made significant impact on our total rating. Overall really lovely accommodation for the value. When we return to Tozeur, we will check the availability of this apartment again for sure.

Staying in Anantara Tozeur was my best vacation I ever had. I felt like I stayed at my closed friend’s villa in a luxury setting. Nizar and his staff always made sure that we are very comfortable in the hotel and on our Indiana Jones’ adventures. I fell in love with the Tunisian Desert 🏜️ 🐪 🌵 and its people.

It's the best deal in Tozeur! Literally in front of the bus station, there is a supermarket nearby (Carrefour) and all kinds of shops. The hotel is great and the room was very clean, comfortable and for the price I paid it served perfectly! It has AC which is a must in that area. The staff also very kind too
