There are some interesting historical areas and museums around the citadel and some newer buildings such as the Opera House. Ankara is not the most beautiful city of Türkiye, but I kind of like it. Good vibe, good bars, good restaurant. Very nice city to work, an okay city to go around. Only the Airport is shit, so go by (highspeed) train from Istanbul. 4h from centre to centre. much better than the bathroom airport and endless traffic jam. Ankara was surprisingly a very tidy, nice city. So many eateries to enjoy. Loads of water fountains and beautiful mosques that occupies the skylines.
