Bursa is not a quiet provincial town - it's a huge city with a lot of things to do and experience. However it's much less noisy than Istanbul. Go to Podium Park for the evening walk and a great choice of food. Go to the Mosque area for a walk and experiencing local culture. Arap Şükrü is very noisy and a bit of rip off, but still it's a good place to visit. In restaurants - always verify your check, don't hesitate to point out any "mistakes". Be aware, you're in the bazaar culture - people are easy to talk with, helpful, nice - but sometimes they like to take advantage of you.

    Best tourist must-do's in Bursa:

Best tourist must-do's in Bursa: -Bursa Teleferik (cable car) to the top or at least the middle of Uludag Mountain. In winters, you can go to the top and there's a Caribou coffee to drink something hot and watch the snow or ski if you like. -Koza Han - end of the old Silk Road trade. Still lots of silk to buy. -Grand Bazaar - lots of good shopping -Ulu Cami - Grand mosque (tourists can enter; only mosque with fountain inside of it that i've ever seen) -Clock Tower (awesome overlook of the city for photos) -Old Tree (over 600 years old) - outskirts of the city -eat lots and lots of Iskender or Bursa Kebap (best place: Padilla's) -day excursion to Yalova Thermal Springs & Pool -Migration Museum (history of all immigrants in Turkiye) -Muradiye Complex (nice quiet neighborhood where once there was a church turned into a military site, and old Islamic school center)

Bursa – A Beautiful and Historic City Worth Visiting!

Bursa – A Beautiful and Historic City Worth Visiting! I had an amazing time in Bursa, Turkey, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of history, nature, and culture! Rich History: As the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, Bursa is full of historical landmarks like the Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami), Green Mosque & Tomb, and the historic Koza Han. Beautiful Nature: The city is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and Mount Uludağ is perfect for skiing in winter and hiking in summer. Delicious Food: Bursa is famous for Iskender Kebab, and I highly recommend trying it at a local restaurant! Warm Hospitality: The people of Bursa are incredibly kind and welcoming, making my visit even more enjoyable. Relaxing Atmosphere: The city has a peaceful and charming vibe, with lovely parks, traditional markets, and thermal baths for relaxation. Bursa is truly a gem in Turkey, offering a perfect balance of history, culture, and natural beauty. I would love to visit again!

bIts a beautiful hill city, once the capital of the otomans.

bIts a beautiful hill city, once the capital of the otomans. I would recommend at least 2-3 days to visit and take a tour guide to show you the city as best they can, Must visit the tea gardens, the old bazaar, the hamaams, the cable car to the top, Husseins famous Kebab shop and some traditional pastries and cakes in the multitude of fine cafes and shops in town. There is a 700 year old tree to be visited and a beautiful town 700 years old also along the way to Bursa from Istanbul. Must stop there for a visit if you are driving,. Roads to Bursa from istanbul are brilliant especially once you leave istanbul city traffic chaos.

Bursa is a lovely city. A trip by cable car is a must. The baazar is a wonderful place to wander with tasty produce and an amazing array of goods. The green mosque and tomb was also worth a visit. The people in Bursa are welcoming to travellers. Wish I had more time to stay.

The hotel is central. This is one of the cheapest hotels in Bursa. It is infront of the main city square. The room was big. It's an old hotel but everything functions. The rooms were clean. The towels were soft and smelled nice. The light breakfast was sufficient and included. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can walk to all the tourist sights or there is the tramway across the road.

Beautiful hotel. Very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff from reception to bell-boys to cleaners, they all have a smile and greeting though most don't speak English. Breakfast was good enough to start the day. Reception (Ms Cigdem) helped us arrange for tours in Bursa and the Uludag mountains with a good company that really took care of us.

Room and bathroom are tiny, but they have everything you need and provide enough comfort. Location was good for us, loads of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, near the motorway, but far from Bursa city centre. Breakfast was ok.

The staff is friendly and always smiling (this is not always usual in Turkey). The location is fine and near many spots. The rooms are spacious.
