Several sites left over from the Roman period: the aqueduct of Justininan and the Roman Necropolis. We stayed in the area after as part of a road trip from Trabzon to Cappadocia to Sanliurfa (for Gobeklieitepei). I would recommend the area if you are going to gobeklei tepe and have a vehicle. The Bazaar, Abrahams Cave, the Golbasi, Archaelology and Mosaic Museums, Nemrut Dagi and Gobekletepe are a standout. The small street vendor ate the best for fresh, delicious food. There is a LOT of historical sights and things to visit.
There is a LOT of historical sights and things to visit. Goblekiteppe is amazing, the museum, the abraham pools, castle, mosques,harran... Really a fantastic trip ! People are very friendly. Food in general was repetitive, everywhere just kebabs and doner and baklava.Guest review byAnaAndorra
