The two of us couldn't ride a motorcycle so we had to rent a driver, which was expensive (4500 twd for 1 day) but it saves you from riding near the cliffs/ in the dark at night. We went during the low season and the bus seemed unavailable (and we haven't seen one anywhere during our two-day stay). Would recommend visiting during summer (before October) to avoid the monsoon. Taiwan has a lot of island getaway you can choose from and Green Island is one of the top choice you can make. It takes a little less than an hour to travel from the Taitung port. Lots of activities you can choose from snorkelling, scuba diving, trekking, hot springs, or just frolicking in the beach, there is always something to do here. Renting a scooter is a must. Lots of bars and restaurants that can cater to young and young ones in heart. My kids really enjoyed snorkelling a lot. This tiny little island will never disappoint you! Definitely worth your time and money! We were there for 3days and 2 nights but it could be easily done in 2 days 1 night if you are running short of time. Do rent a bike and surely take a sea activity of your choice.Guest review byMonicaTaiwan
