Amazing resort with a stunning view to the ocean and private pool and so peaceful. The staff all of them but especially Godfrey were very kind to us. The accommodation always provided a private cab, when we needed one. The food in the restaurant was good but not great. I want to say thank you to all the staff for the amazing hospitality and great vacation, definitely coming back.

Don't think twice and BOOK! Is the 👌 place to stay in Nungwi. The hotel is new, very well made, clean and comfortable- feels like home. The view is incredible and the beach is with white soft sand. The island has a lot of problems with electricity but the hotel has its own generator and there are no blackouts. The owner and the staff are the best, very helpful and really nice. Tasty breakfast, good coffee and tea, delicious fresh and fruits. We travel with our 2 years old daughter and Ahmed, the owner, was a real medical suport for us ( good hospital, medicine, transport and a lot of smiles and hug for her). He is there to help you with everything. They also arrange a big, big surprise for my birthday. I felt like they are my Zanzibar family. There is nothing, but nothing to complain about in this place. All in all a perfect experience!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the African Bungalows and it was a truly exceptional experience. The bungalows were recently renovated with genuine care and passion from the owners earning a perfect 10 out of 10 from us ! The location was perfect, offering a small oasis of peace in a bustling area. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The cleanliness of the bungalows was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive and always ready to assist with a smile on their faces. A bonus was the presence of cute kitties roaming around, adding to the charm of the place. In another word, our stay was just perfect, and we cherished every minute of it. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

“This apartment is a hidden gem! It was even better than the pictures. Everything was spotless, modern, and well-maintained. The location was perfect—close to public beach and key attractions, but still in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The host was responsive and went out of their way “Staying at this apartment was a dream come true. It had everything I needed and more! The design was modern and elegant, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the whole space felt so welcoming. I especially loved the large windows that let in lots of natural light, and the view on the pool was stunning. The location was unbeatable, making it easy to explore the city.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible. The property itself is stunning, truly a paradise, and the food was excellent. However, what really stood out was the warmth, attentiveness, and readiness of the entire staff, from reception to housekeeping. I would like to highlight a few team members (Lea, Osmann, Isaac, Ali, Jamal - all the management staff from the WhatsApp group), who were essential in making our stay perfect. Among them, two stood out even more (Ali and Isaac from the restaurants), leaving a special mark on our experience with their smiles, joy, and positive energy that they shared with us every day during our meals. They truly made our time here unforgettable. In addition to the above, in the last day they served us a special Indian meal which was special and delicious! ❤️❤️❤️

Zanzicrown is a perfect destination if you're looking to feel local vibe and homey treatment in Zanzibar. Excellent breakfast with local fruits and homemade pastry and cakes. Zanzicrown is located in the heart of Nungwi, a fisherman's village with the chance to enjoy local life and the beaches, restaurants and resorts within reach. The hotel is a new building minimally decorated with African stuff, a small, cozy garden and a relaxing, after beach, small pool. Elena, Italian host, is friendly and engaging and so is her local staff. It feels like being home. The hotel is just steps to nice beaches, resorts and restaurants. For cat lovers too.

Absolutely loved my stay here — everything was spotless, cozy, and stylish. The breakfast was delicious, the atmosphere so warm and relaxing, and the staff incredibly kind and welcoming. The mattress and pillows were amazingly comfortable (which is honestly rare in Zanzibar!). I’ve already booked my next stay — can’t wait to come back!
