The ambiance & decor, excellent breakfasts, friendly and helpful hotel staff, free wifi, the location in the best part of the city close to all facilities and some truly excellent restaurants. So much nicer than a modern "international" hotel that could be almost anywhere.

Nice comfortable room, bathroom had a decent-sized bath, and excellent Internet. I had porridge and cappuccino for breakfast, had my laundry done and was given a container of (very tasty) local honey to help with my cough. Very friendly people!
