They confused me when crossing because they came from all directions, but I was impressed by the fact that there were no accidents on the roads in the confusion. I enjoyed the laid back kind of old lifestyle with the old school music that related to my age group wherever you walk around. Most of all I loved the natural food wherever I went. There’s plenty to explore, from historical landmarks to scenic spots like Lake Victoria. The food scene is diverse, with local Ugandan dishes as well as international options available. The city is also well-connected, making it easy to navigate for business and leisure travelers. Traffic can be quite challenging, especially during peak hours, and the roads can be crowded. Noisy, roads full of noisy traffic. Many hold-ups. Never went near the centre. After 30+ years of visiting it has never appealed to me as a city worth visiting. Vibrant, interestingly chaotic, very good food, pleasant people (majorly), beautiful views from almost everywhere, best climate in the world. The bike rides are 'exciting' but would not use them frequently because of the dangerous driving and chaos on the roads. Make sure to visit Izumi, Four Points, Stone Haven, Dynasty, La Cabana, Sign Cuisine for some very good food/dining. A more central location in Kampala is hard to find. There is a lot going on around the hotel, which provides a perfect metropolitan pulse. The staff is committed and you receive a personal treatment. You can always turn to them if you have any questions, and in case of any problems, they are committed to a quick solution. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean.
