Santaviva is located in the center of Kisoro what makes the place very authentic. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom is basic but has everything you need. We traveled by public transport and Ivan, the manager, arranged our night bus from Kampala to Kisoro. It made our journey very pleasant to travel over night instead of during the day. This was if the recommendation of Ivan. It’s also only a 10 minutes walk to from the bus, pleasant. Ivan took us out to a local bar to watch a football match, a place where we normally wouldn’t go I guess. Ivan and the rest of the staff are very kind and helpful. The food is also very good. we enjoyed the place a lot and it was always a nice feeling to come “home” after the gorilla trekking or just wandering around in Kisoro. Highly recommended place to stay in Kisoro.

Lovely place and such an incredibly welcoming family. Gideon, Esther and Andrew took such good care of us, and we had an amazing homecooked meal with them one of the two nights we stayed. Esther even got up to make us breakfast at 5am when we were off to see the gorillas! They also brought us juice, fruits and tea on several occasions which was very much appreciated. Short walk into town as well, and we could safely park the car within the walls.

My stay at Nshongi camp was absolutely incredible, the best of my trip: The staff welcomed my warmly by upgrading me to a sublime room where the beds were very comfortable. Moses and the whole team go the extra mile to make you feel at home. They are extremely kind. In addition, the hotel is incredible: view of the forest where animals are visible (I observed colorful birds, monkeys, squirrels and a family of waterbucks), very comfortable (internet and hot shower and two steps from Rushaga Gate) and the food is delicious. I even extended my stay!

This place is truly a hidden gem! I stayed 3 days 2 nights, wish I can stay longer. What makes this place so special are the staff. From the manager (pick up me at the town and send to the resort by boat), the boatman, local guide, chef, helper and all in the resort. This resort strategic location is perfect who love quiteness and really into the nature. Trust me once you are here you dont feel like to leave. Beautiful suites with private verandas with gorgeous outlook on to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest! The staff were amazing and very accommodating. They took care of our every need to insure our comfort including washing our muddy hiking boots!
