We stayed in Alamogordo for one night, solely to visit White Springs National Park. But we did visit a fabric shop and the proprietor was very friendly. We didn't spend much time in Alamogordo.
We didn't spend much time in Alamogordo. We drove from San Antonio TX, with the purpose of going to White Sands Natural Area. Staying in Alamogordo puts you about 14 miles, easy drive to the area. There are multiple restaurants and gas stations and coffee shops. Some of the restaurant chains were Appleby's, Chili's, Denny's, Starbucks and plenty of other known chains.
