I wish I'd planned for longer in Asheville (I was only there 24 hours)--there's a lot to do for a small city! I visited the botanical gardens and River Arts District, shopped, and found good places to eat. River Arts area, where my hotel was, is very walkable.

Asheville has so many things to do - it's a very inclusive arts, crafts and music community with a super cool vibe. It is truly different from anywhere else I've been and after 20+ years of visiting I still discover new things each time. Wonderful craft fairs, music festivals, art and craft galleries, restaurants (many Vegan and Vegetarian too:), entertainment, sooo many nature trails, hiking, biking, state and national forests, small towns, city events, too much to list. Of course the Omni Grove Park Inn and Biltmore estate are not to be missed. And the area could REALLY use the visitors and support after the big storm last year. They really made a comeback but appreciate the business (they are still making up for losses).

Asheville is a fun place but beware downtown parking is a nightmare and parking garages charge a fortune but it has many nice shops and everyone seemed nice where we went downtown would recommend a visit and if you drive just a few minutes from Asheville to candler nc you'll come to a spot known as Griff's kitchen and bar with amazing food and drinks

My group toured the Biltmore and property. We also stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn! We ate one evening at the Corner Kitchen and we were very glad to support Asheville in coming back after their flood. We also at on the Terrace at Grove Park Inn one evening. That venue is bar none the best in the USA.

Asheville is a beautiful area to visit!

Asheville is a beautiful area to visit! The BIltmore Estate was a fantastic place to visit, including the exhibition about King Tut as well as the winery. and the Gardens. Getting around Asheville is easy, if you have your own transportation. We attempted to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, but unfortunately we ran into closed roads due to construction going both North and South. Be sure to check before you head out.

Our visit to Asheville was mostly on the west end in July.

Our visit to Asheville was mostly on the west end in July. Wish we had done more research ahead of time. The local restaurants on Haywood Rd are small, artsy, bistros. Lots of murals to see. Parking is horrible. Older section of town. Traffic was busy but it moved quickly. We toured the Biltmore. Note- take the shuttle from parking lots, it will save some steps.

The hotel is conveniently located, just a few minutes drive from downtown Asheville. Plenty of free parking and a couple of eating places within walking distance. Our check-in was simple and fast, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. We’d definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you!

Value for the location is the BEST in downtown Asheville. My husband and I (locals) have done a staycation every winter holiday for the past ten years - Aloft was the first place we stayed, and although we have tried different downtown hotels through the years, we keep coming back to Aloft because the value + location can not be beat.

We had an amazing stay! The hotel was lovely. We enjoyed the rooms, pool, welcome reception with cheese and wine, and the terrace that overlooked the city. One of the best hotels I've been to in awhile!
