United StatesMy son and I stayed there on our way to the eclipse. The room was very spacious. Good wifi. The house was fully booked and yet it was very calm and quiet. The house has a lot of character, a lot more interesting than staying at a hotel, and for the same price it's an easy choice in my opinion. The owner told my son and I about 2 really cool spots in the area - the waterfall and the mudlavia spring\abandoned resort. Those two spots became a major highlight of our eclipse trip! I also left a very expensive electronic in the room and the staff promptly shipped it to me! Now that's integrity! If you like unique and interesting experiences this is the place for you!

It was horrible! The house stunk like mold and mildew.
It was horrible! The house stunk like mold and mildew. It was dirty. The showers were totally disgusting! Not only were dirty, the shower curtain was dirty, they had a bar of used soap to use. No towel to wipe your hands when you washed them. The toilet was nasty! I honestly don’t know when the house was cleaned last! My son literally fell through the floor in the bedroom. There were several boards loose and a few came back and hit him in the ankle and the shin. Thank goodness the lights were still on and he could look down. The two men running it were creepy as all get out. Owner will not get back in tiuch with me. She said she would contact me and that was 8 weeks ago!Guest review byLeanneUnited States

But it is definitely not that now! The place is dirty, cold, very poorly restored/maintained, and we didn't feel safe or private in our room. So it's nothing fancy, so it is what is to be expected and serves the purpose perfectly.
