A very cosy and interesting hotel with eclectic furnishings and a homely feeling. We had room 306 which was larger than many 1 bedroom apartments and it had a fully equipped kitchen . We had gone to visit our son and it was perfect for him to come over and dine with us in the room some nights . The area is quiet and peaceful and we could walk to Nassau station in 15 mins . The staff were very welcoming and helpful .

The whole hotel experience felt “premium” I really enjoyed it from the moment I stepped in. The staff were really professional and welcoming. The location is great too as I could walk to the locations of most of the “basic necessities” if the hotel didn’t have it. The room size I took was fine for me as a solo traveler but if you’re going with more persons I would recommend upgrading to a larger room for sure especially if you think you might have to eat inside the room for whatever reason.

The hotel was very clean , the room spacious, the personnel always nice at the front desk. We didn't try the restaurant so I can't say anything on that. There are 3 or 4 metro stations very close by and thoe hotel is right accross a bridge so it made it so easy and quick to get to Manhattan. We loved the little robes and slippers.

This hotel was perfect for our stay. There are 2 subways stations nearby which made our travels around Brooklyn and New York very easy. We felt safe at any time, even when one of us was alone. There is a small convenience store near by which sooo practical for the late night dinner. The staff at the hotel was very sweet and helpful. They were always available to us for any questions we had. The breakfast was awesome. We ate very well. The Chef was sweet and made sure that the trays of food were always full. We had housekeeping available to us any time we wanted. We were allowed to use the breakfast room to eat takeout together at night which was great for our need of a quieter evening. The rooms were great: the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms gigantic and practical. It was helpful to have a fridge and a safe in each room. Overall, this is a great hotel and our place of choice for our future trips to New York!

The accommodation was lovely, very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. This was a last minute booking that was very much needed and I am glad I found this hotel. I requested a fridge and microwave and the lovely staff had both waiting in the room upon arrival. The staff was quite polite and friendly. I could not have asked for a better experience, 10/10.

The Giant of New York

Immortalised in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were a city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!

The borough is joined to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It is also linked to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the north-east, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while south-east is the huge Prospect Park.

On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighbouring Queens.

At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Regeneration is underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden rollercoaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.

    Need to stay at more places and explore more around Brooklyn, mainly explored Manhattan rather than Brooklyn so cannot say much for now. Can only say that DUMBO is an amazing place and everyone that can visit there should visit.

    Wonderful place to walk around. Food is amazing.

    Wonderful place to walk around. Food is amazing. Walking the Promenade is over the op. Go down to the pier and catch a ferry for a terrific Manhattan view. Stop at Governor's Island and tour the old fort. Back in Brooklyn walk along the river catching views of all the converted piers. Loads to see, bring good walking shoes. That Brooklyn Bridge will get you into another world.

    We were in Brooklyn for my daughter's wedding.

    We were in Brooklyn for my daughter's wedding. It was at a great Italian restaurant called Aurora. There's a nice park called Domino park just down 2 blocks next to the water where we took pictures at.

    Brooklyn is a beautiful, lively, friendly borough in NYC. I love the areas of Carroll Gardens, Park Slope and Windsor Terrace and Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum.

    The ferry around Brooklyn into NYC is a must. Great restaurants and people. Loved it. So much to do. So much nightlife, so many parks. And be sure to check for local events while youre in town. We saw great concerts for free.

    Close to subway station for access to Manhattan and airport. Near to Williamsburg with nice cafes, restaurants and bars. Not in the nicest area itself especially at nighttime likely need to use taxis to get around instead of walking.

    A real hidden gem of a hotel tucked way down on the border of Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. Very affordable, in a great location (Bay Ridge is apparently the safest neighbourhood in the city), with plenty of food options and the subway within walking distance. Excellent rooms which were spotless, really nice staff and a decent breakfast.

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating - this has been the best stay of my trip so far and definitely surpasses hotels on fifth in Manhattan! This is a great hotel to experience the local delights of Williamsburgs, Brooklyn and even Manhattan. From the cool art pieces, unique coffee experiences, fantastic views to delicious breakfast pastries and tremendous tacos...what didn't I like?
