It was a spur of the moment take off and stay somewhere for a night for my wife’s birthday. The owners were very nice and left a birthday card and a bottle of wine. The cabin was clean and cozy. Beautiful View!! Mrs. Melissa was amazing. She helped us with everything we asked about. We had great conversation with her and the other lady that helps her with the resort. We left early Saturday to hit Pigeon Forge and she had us a Togo breakfast waiting on us. We could not have asked for a better stay 10/10 recommend Long View.

Absolutely beautiful!! Perfect location, close to both downtown and to the riverfront restaurant and Natanhala Outfitters store, but still felt remote like a mountain escape! The cabin is beautifully laid out and SO comfortable. There were only 2 of us, but it we could definitely bring our 5 kids with us next time and have room for everyone. It’d be tight, but it would work for sure. The kitchen cabinets are well stocked for anything you need for food prep/serving, the beds and furniture are really comfy. It felt like home! We loved the porch and hot tub, too!

The downtown area had places to eat and shop. People are nice, helpful and receptive. There is a variety of food and bars. We did the Smokey Mountain Railroad trip to the gouge. The left side of the train as its traveling gives the best view. Food on the train was as good as any restaurant.

Enjoyed the outdoors with our grandsons.

Enjoyed the outdoors with our grandsons. The weather wasn't ideal, but we spent a day taking the train ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad from Bryson City to the Nantahala Gorge, which was made even more memorable by the onboard entertainment! At our grandson's request, the "one man band" musician performed, Take Me Home Country Roads." Such fun!!

We rode the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad to the Nantahala Gorge. Excellent adventure and everyone waves at the train! Don't miss the Fontana Dam. Beautiful drive and lots of natural beauty and history.

Nice city, plenty of restaurants and small shops. Train ride was great and food on the train was very, very good. Best pork dinner I've every had. Our host on the train ( McNiel car) ,I believe his name was Dave was fantastic. Very helpful with getting my wifes wheelchair and her on and off the train.

We were in town to ride the Easter Bunny train.

We were in town to ride the Easter Bunny train. Best train ride (most scenic) we have experienced other than The Alaska Railroad! This train and crew is top notch. They even stopped the train to fight a small fire that erupted near the track; but it ballooned and they had to look to our safety on the train and get us away.

Nice little downtown area. Just a few blocks long. Good restaurants and coffee shop. The outskirts of town really dilapidated and trashy. Very close to national park and lake fontana. Lots of outdoor recreation opportunities.

we enjoyed the cabin, although the dirt road to get up there is a little sketchy, you just have to maintain your speed going up and down, it was away from everywhere, so if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from people then this is your cabin. to get to Bryson City, it's only about 10 minutes away. the beds were very comfortable, The kitchen had more than enough supplies if you intend on cooking at the cabin.

The lodge is impeccably clean, is in a great location with easy access to trails (and Bryson City), and provides a fantastic night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing fire pits where we could gather and meet other guests. Would highly recommend.

2 blocks from all restaurants, nightlife, and the train depot. Room was clean. Owner was attentive and kind. I was looking for a retro-feel hotel reminiscent of childhood stays in Cherokee, and this place was great. The pool was clean and nice. It was exactly what I was looking for.
