The lake was almost obsolete. Nowhere to eat out on Sunday. We took the train excursion on Sunday , beautiful! I highly recommend Cumbres Suites!! Owner exceeded expectations! The main tourist attraction of Chama is the historic, day long train ride from Chama to Antonito through beautiful mountains and river valleys where an extensive lunch buffet is included. Highly recommend the Cumbres train trip would take it again. Don't expect much from Town of Chama, dirty, only one or two goig eating places, limited facilities like restaurants, shops. If you're not excepting of small, unkempt towns that charge a lot for local hotels because of the train this place is not for you.Guest review byHildeUnited States - 10.0

We really enjoyed the train especially the fall foliage. The food was so good at Fina's Diner and the owner was so nice. The Chama Trails Motel next door was a great place to stay. The staff was so friendly and the rooms were so clean and nice.Guest review byTews
