    This is more of an adult travel destination rather than kids. Interesting Fort Sumpter 1st Shot of Civil War and Charleston Museum 1st Museum of US it has some historical interest but not alot of variety in attractions. Several boat cruises, several carriage rides, the free downtown trolly bus was a huge plus and the bench swings and the pier at Pineapple fountain/water taxi area was highlight of our trip. Charleston is a place for a calm, relaxing vacation.

    Charleston is a very historic place with lots of places to visit. I was impressed by the Angel Tree which is over 400 years old. They recently added a tree that was grown from the fallen acorn from the original tree;

    The hotel was easy to find, the staff was friendly, and the place was absolutely beautiful. They gave us dinner and breakfast. It was a very good experience and probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

    Nice historical city.

    Nice historical city. Rich history of rice crops making it wealthiest city in the south. I loved the Barbados inspired architecture of homes with side porches. Enjoyed learning of the Gullah Geechee culture and the seagrass baskets. Quaint town and great food as well as beautiful scenery. I immensely enjoyed the whole experience!

    The best part about Charleston is all the history.

    The best part about Charleston is all the history. The buildings, house streets they all have so much character. The entire city is beautiful. You can shop, sightsee, or just sit along the shoreline. Not to mention the amazing food. so many restaurants and never enough time to eat at all of them.

    With only 24 hours in Charleston, we visited during the Southern heatwave of July 2025 so hot weather curbed our activities. With temperatures of 100F and 87% humidity it was too hot to do many of the things we would have liked. However a carriage ride around the French Quarter, with Palmetto Carriages' knowledgeable driver Elliot, gave us a taste of this historical district. Would recommend Anson Cafe (actually a big restaurant) near the market. Lovely food and excellent service. And of course, the French Quarter Inn. Spend time in the four buildings of The Market and buy authentic Benne Wafers from Southern Sisters.

    I had a very nice and large room with a great view of the salt marshes surrounding Charleston. The room was clean and the bed was confortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle going from the hotel into the Historic District - great service! I used the shuttle several times and found it very convenient in stead of driving into Charleston and looking for parking. The restaurant at the top floor has a great view - and good food. I would definitely stay again.

    Absolute dream in every way possible! Gorgeous buildings, beautiful and spacious room, incredible staff, lovely attention to every detail. I’ve stayed at several high-end hotels in Charleston and Zero George is hands down the best! It is one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever experienced, including my extensive international travels and stays at 5-Star properties.

    Laundry facilities. It was the only vaguely reasonably priced hotel near-ish downtown Charleston. However, it was not good value for money.
