    Liked the staff & excellent continental breakfast.

    Liked the staff & excellent continental breakfast. I stayed on the 1st floor & I did not like the fact that you can hear every footstep/movement from the 2nd floor guests above me…could not sleep. Also the rain was hitting the a/c unit, loud dripping noise that kept me up

    I liked the charm and originality if the hotel.

    I liked the charm and originality if the hotel. I liked the fresh rose and the water bottles in the he room each day. I was surprised by daily room service. That doesn't usually happen anymore. I was disappointed in breakfast and the exercise room. Breakfast would be good with eggs and non-dairy milk added as options. Exercise room has an elliptical, but a non- working treadmill and that's it.

    Clean, comfortable, welcoming, beds were very comfortable and room was nicely decorated to make you feel at home. You have control of your own AC / Heat unit which I liked and it was at a comfortable setting when we arrived. We highly recommend this place. It was just me and my husband however I did see younger kids there but wouldn't have known that if I didn't see them.

    What an interesting & historic town!

    What an interesting & historic town! Discovered it online when looking for a place to stay for a couple of days while meeting up with my sister & family from New England on vacation at the Jersey Shore. The Colts Neck Inn Hotel was unique and cozy. The ambiance & food at the adjacent Steak & Chop House (tavern originally built in 1717!) were superb - great venue to treat my family to dinner. Lunch at nearby Huddy’s was an experience as well: beet salad was beautifully designed. Ask for Marianne (sp?)…she is a terrific waitress. Jenkinson’s Aquarium and Thursday night fireworks in Point Pleasant were a bonus. Bruce Springsteen is from nearby Freehold. Red Bank was the birthplace of Count Basie. Be sure and stop at Delicious Orchards to take home local yummies such as baked goods.

    This place was just exceptional, clean and peaceful, the front desk service was great, friendly and kind. Breakfast was good and very clean and organized dinning area. Our room was beautiful and very cleaned, just perfect. The over sized jacuzzi was a perfect touch that completed this room. They even supplied us with everything we needed for the jacuzzi, what more can we ask for. A thank you shout goes out to the team of Colts Neck, For making our 26 year anniversary stay, so special.

    The property WAS FILTHY!

    The property WAS FILTHY! The STAFF WAS VERY RUDE AND unwilling to work with us.. There were roaches EVERYWHERE, & I was not able to walk in my floor without slippers or take a shower without putting towels in the filthy shower! I complained to the staff 3 times they never offered me another room! The jacuzzi had thick gooey rust like stuff oozing out and there were potato chips in the couches.. On top of that there was old molding food in our microwave and refrigerator… I tried to atleast be compensated in some way, but the staff got very rude after I showed them the pictures of my findings.. They basically told me I was lying although they had been up to my room that night because of several complaints! The air conditioner was very weak and we were very uncomfortable! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE!
