Made a two night reservation for two rooms for Friday and...
Made a two night reservation for two rooms for Friday and Saturday night since I knew we would be late checking in. Call advised that we would not be there till in morning of Saturday but we needed ro get into a room quickly for a family funeral. Upon arriving we were told we were no shows and rooms had been given away. I advised we had confirmation numbers but abruptly told we were no shows. We finally got two rooms for one night but wasn't refunded for the one night if being declared no shows. Even with confirmation numbers. Where I come from this is just bad business. I will never be back and advice everyone I can not to stay there. Not to mention the piss poor continental breakfast...awful just awful...Guest review byJimUnited States - 6.0

It's OK for the location since it's one of the only decent hotels in the area. The bar and restaurant were nice. The room itself was dated and needs an update and some better furnishings. The area has some very good restaurants close by. Example, Portillo's is a Chicago institution and this location was very good.Guest review byEdmon - 8.0
Getting around Crystal Lake was very easy.
Getting around Crystal Lake was very easy. We ate at Chen's Chinese Cuisine and it was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. People in Crystal Lake are very friendly. It was a nice change from Arizona. Got to see beautiful fall colors.Guest review byKathy - 10.0

The overall stay at the hotel exceeded my expectation. I would prefer the breakfast be included in the hotel cost. I didn’t like paying a separate cost for a breakfast buffet. The breakfast was great but I didn’t get my money worth.Guest review byAnonymous
