The beach was clean and well-maintained. The area of the beach near our hotel was flat and sandy - there weren't a lot of shells on the beach. When the tide was out we could walk pretty far out. Super clean beaches, everything is walking distance, plenty of shopping options and restaurants in the area with great food, and you can drive on the beach for a fee. We are natives to the area and love Daytona Beach; however, I would love to see local law enforcement start ticketing aggressively for those that litter! I always enjoy the boardwalk and the Saturday night fireworks show!
