    We enjoyed our time at Cowboy Country Inn because management was well organized and super efficient. The wifi and Direct TV were exceptional. Escalante has a Catholic church with a Sunday 5 pm Mass. Don't miss Escalante Outfitters - great pizza, exceptional coffee!

    A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability.

    A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability. So if you are planning to do one, book early. There was only 1 restaurant that open while we were there. We love the Petrified Forest, Escalante River hike, Lower Calf Falls, as well as the Long Slot Canyon. Some of the attractions need a 4x4. Wish we knew ahead of time. Overall, very enjoyable! Cute little town with lots to do.

    It was a great place, would be fun to rent the entire place with a big group. As I told the owners the back patio needs a little work to make it more welcoming to hang out on. It does not have an hotel or lodge feeling. Lots up junk that needs cleaning up or a fence separating you from the shop surrounding. Also you apparently have to rent for more than one night to have access to use washer and dryer.

    My biggest regret that I have planned only one day for...

    My biggest regret that I have planned only one day for Escalante. We only done Peekaboo - Spooky slots, and Petrified Forest hike. We should have stay longer to get more slot canyons to explore. I just did not expect it to be so much fan compare to usual canyons hikes.

    Such a different kind of experience!

    Such a different kind of experience! We stayed in the Air Stream and it was fun, but mostly a stripped out airstream sparsely furnished although a comfy bed. A little concerned that the curtains were not sufficient for privacy. We went to the Utah Petrified Forest State Park and hiked with walking sticks. Quite a place! Enjoyed the area and wished to stay longer, there was so much to see and do.

    This was going to just be a pass-through stop between...

    This was going to just be a pass-through stop between Capitol Reef and Bryce and we just loved this little town. Very well maintained, clean and friendly. We did the Escalante River Trail hike while we were there which was a bonus. Loved the Escalante Outfitters for pizza and beer after a long day and frittatas and coffee for breakfast the next morning. I would recommend staying in this town to anyone passing through. Ponderosa Inn was a great little motel too.

    Very nice clean two decent rooms combined, with a cowboy look. I just recently realized owner operated hotels in good neighborhoods are the way to go, they care more then chain motels, but the price is vary from inexpensive / to a little higher. I think it's worth it. I sent pictures back home because wall art / kitchen table really neat. You don't see that anywhere...

    Amazing little gem! Wished we had stayed longer. We stayed in the Aspen yurt. Very clean and super comfortable. One of the best beds we’ve slept in. Rocking chairs on the patio were a little added bonus and perfect for stargazing at night. We highly recommend Escalante Yurts!

    The owner was super helpful and friendly. My room had a great vibe to it with the decorating and the skylight. My only regret was not staying longer. It's a lovely, welcoming place and I look forward to staying at the Inn of Escalante again!
