    Lovely and clean, love the rockers on the porch, great to sit and look at the beautiful outside with a cup of coffee, really never had the time to shop or enjoy the views, we were there to record a CD of gospel music, the property was in a perfect area we did not need to to travel very far to the studio for recording

    What we saw, Franklin is beautiful.

    What we saw, Franklin is beautiful. It was so green and peaceful, and it was easy to get around. People at the restaurants were very friendly. We ate at restaurants in a shopping area 4 miles from our house. It was very easy to get around. Lots of history.

    This feels like an historic town focused on civil war with the charm and greenery you expect in Tennessee. Coming from LA, it felt as if I was in a Hallmark channel, the nice versions of TN living. Everything was easy, relaxing, clean and well kept. I can see why people are moving to this area in droves. You can feel the growth and construction but not in a inconvenience way, it is suttle.

    We really enjoyed a day at Pearce Lake.

    We really enjoyed a day at Pearce Lake. It is so spacious and your view is of trees, trees, and more trees. Very peaceful. In downtown Franklin, we enjoyed dinner at 55 South. Casual, great for kids, delicious grilled shrimp salad. We also enjoyed the Red Pony on a Wednesday night. Rich, dark paneling, quiet, elegant. My salmon had the perfect texture. We had some amazing appetizer that was like a cream gnocchi and fabulous. Great wines, ideal for spending and evening with another couple or two.

    We didn't actually spend any time in Franklin, because we came for my niece's wedding that was held in Old Hickory at the Hermitage Golf course. Since the traffic Friday afternoon was very busy we probably should have choosen a location closer to her venue - but I really wanted to stay at Drury Inn since we have stayed in them so many times in the past.

    At first glance, a small, yet incredibly spacious and fully equipped house with a small garden with seating and a barbecue. Although we did not meet the host during our stay, they were very nice, helpful and promptly responded to all our requests - the malfunctioning kettle was replaced with a new one within a few hours. We would not hesitate to stay in this house again on our next visit to this place.

    Breakfast in American hotels is not at all good. This hotel had the best and best stocked breakfast of our 14 night trip. Room had just been refurbished but lacked a quality finish. That is a shame as a lot of money would have been spent.

    It was good. The breakfast was cooked nicely. I could only eat the eggs as I'm allergic to grains. Not much else was offered for people with allergies to grains or gluten. The staff were friendly and very lovely to speak with.
