    Frostburg did not have a lot of food options beyond fast...

    Frostburg did not have a lot of food options beyond fast food. Several restaurants that were available did not have ample parking. You need to go to Lavale to get better options ( about 5 miles). However, this hotel was very convenient to Frostburg College in that 1 exit from the college. It is a great value. Make sure you use Waze to get around as there are one way streets and unique road patterns.

    All shops are closed in Frostburg on Sunday and Monday which...

    All shops are closed in Frostburg on Sunday and Monday which was surprising to me. Very limited food options in town. Streets were deserted, even Frostburg University. I didn't particularly feel safe as I took a late afternoon walk. After checking Frostburg city safety ratings I would not recommend traveling alone there. A very disappointing visit for me.

    I'm not sure why this hotel gets mixed reviews-- our room (306) was clean, newly remodeled including a very comfortable tempurpedic style bed, great shower with lots of hot water, and the staff made us feel very welcome. And beautiful views out the back of the building towards the mountains. We loved the little "museum" in the basement-- lots of history in the area.

    Very nice hotel! Very clean well maintained. Quiet location, although not many places to eat. Did go into the town, everything closed at 7:00 pm . Great value for the money. Front desk staff very nice!

    The location was nice, the hotel was nice. Due to this being a old location, they tried the best to keep it up-to-date. The room was an old room however it was very much clean and kept well.
