Close to what we wanted to do on this trip.

Close to what we wanted to do on this trip. It was a great place to meet up with friends. The traffic circles are a nightmare, so we walked all around town to shops, restaurants, a street fair, the hot springs.

Loved the adventure park and cave tours, highly recommend the funday pass, the rides were so fun and I would highly recommend both cave tours, which come with that pass! Also iron mountain hot springs was very fun. And the food we had was awesome, we enjoyed 19th Street diner, Friday's, The Pullman, and Deja Brew! Overall it was a wonderful place to be on my fiance's birthday getaway.

Revisited Glenwood Springs in late September during the off-season on the cross country train trip. It was a wonderful Monday escape from the train. We had a nice time taking the gondola ride up to the top of the mountain and then going into the cave for exploration and the guided tour. We also enjoyed hiking up to the cemetery where Doc Holiday and kid Perry are buried. We did not partake in the Hot Springs, but it is a beautiful facility and it is understandable why it put Glenwood Springs on the world map so many many many decades ago. How many wonderful shops to explore and wonderful restaurants to partake at. We had dinner at the Glenwood Canyon brew pub it was very nice.

We hiked to Hanging Lake one morning.

We hiked to Hanging Lake one morning. It is worth the sweat and long climb! One must make reservations because the number of people allowed on the trail is limited, which makes for a better overall experience. We ate lunch at a great restaurant in Glenwood Springs, Smoke. Excellent food and service. I recommend the macs and cheese with burnt ends! My husband had the brisket sandwich, which was also excellent.

Great location right off the highway and convenient to downtown. They were very accomodating in allowing us a late check-out. They have become our home away from home when we come to Glenwood Springs for family events.
