Gonzales is a charming town.
Gonzales is a charming town. I was a vendor at the Come and Take It celebration, and would highly recommend Gonzales as a destination for anyone interested in Texas history. The Chamber of Commerce is very helpful and provides recommendations for travelers based on their interest. The Jail Museum Director was also helpful and is very knowledgeable about the area. The Come and Take It Celebration was a great event, and had activities to meet everyone’s interest!!Guest review bySandraUnited States - 8.0
Wonderful town, typical of south central Texas.
Wonderful town, typical of south central Texas. My favorite restaurants were the Stock Yard (especially for breakfast) and a delightful TexMex restaurant in town center. The mariachi music on Friday evening was a pleasant surprise. Love this town!!Guest review byDavidUnited States

When I get there they say all rooms are booked but come to find out booking.com reserved my hotel in Gonzales Texas not Gonzales la. Like I put for the room location. I reserved the room do to lost electricity from a thunderstorm and was out of power for 9 hours with 2 kids needless to say we had to go back home and stay in a hot house until power came back on.
